Helen Hawes is a San Diego artist who pursues her love of adventure through her painting. Her work has a fresh quality that celebrates life. An accomplished muralist as well as a fine artist, Helen paints murals, portraits, land and seascapes.

She revels in the challenge of commissioned pieces, considering them to be a collaboration with the client. She never knows what she will be asked to paint next - a portrait of a loved one, a delicate border of flowers in a nursery, or a playroom full of dancing alligators! She finds that bringing her clients' ideas to life is a delight.

Helen is continuing to expand her commissioned work, as well as work on a series of paintings depicting the California coast.
